Gratitude and Presence go hand in hand.
If you're not present - you can't be grateful.
Why do presence and gratitude go hand in hand?
Gratitude to me isn't about thinking of all the good things in my life. It used to be...like looking at life nostalgically, remembering, 'oh ya, that was a good moment!'
True gratitude (and it's always a practice) means that we're fully engaged in the moment - experiencing a bubbling up of thankfulness for the simplicity of a warm sweater, a sip of tea, the way the light shines on the fresh snow (can you tell I'm in Alberta?) and even sometimes, the blue of the sky.
If you've tried a gratitude practice before and couldn't quite commit, or it fizzled out when you kept writing, "I'm thankful for my home, my family, my health" over and over, I can't wait for you to check out my Mindful Mornings Journal, that launches THIS TUESDAY Nov 17th for a more effective spin on a gratitude practice.
Gratitude is one of 4 daily practices included in the journal for more daily peace and connection.
with support,
Trish
